Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA 1600 - Chassis #613013 1966. The ‘A’ stands for ‘Alleggerita’, Italian for lightened, weighing only 740Kg (1,640 pounds). The GTA was produced between 1965 and 1971. Only 500 cars were made for racing and road use.

This #127 is a very early model with first registration on February 16, 1966 by Autostrada Firenze (FI 310788) in name of Giovanni ‘Nanni’ Galli (1940 - 2019), who would later become a Formula 1 driver among for McLaren, Ferrari and Williams (1970 - 1973). His first racing success was in 1965 with a Mini Cooper S, at the age of 26.

Early 1966 he bought the just newly released GTA (with his own money) and had the car prepared for racing by Franco Cortini, one of the best Alfa mechanics in Italy at that time. His first race was on March 12-13, 1966 Coppa FISA at Monza, race number 127, becoming 2nd overall and 2nd in class.

LIMITED PRINT This High-quality print will be printed at a very low number (30 only) and will never be printed again. Each print is hand numbered at its right bottom with a white felt pen on dark backgrounds and a black one on light backgrounds.

PAPER Epson Gallery Superior Ultra Matte 190g/m² The Epson Gallery Superior Ultra Matte 190g/m² is bleached to a bright white and offers the perfect foundation for reproducing the original colours with remarkable richness. It is very lightly textured, extra white and is made of 100% cotton. This paper is perfect for limited-edition art and fine art prints with its high sharp definition, soft fine texture and thickness.

SIZE 40 x 50cm | 16 x 20" (white margins included). For different dimensions, please contact us.

PRINT This high-quality print is carefully produced with the giclee process to maximise colour accuracy and resolution. Giclée (French for “sprayed”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed to saturate the fibres of the highest-quality papers resulting in pure rich colours, deep blacks and remarkable details. We do not manage the printing of the artwork you will receive simply because the printing process is a real art in itself. We chose to work with a professional French printing company (Atelier Photo Gaillandre).

This company uses the most modern, super-wide-format printing system from Epson, the 12 colours Epson Surecolor UltraChrome Pro pigments prints to ensure the finest tonal gradation. 8 colours + 4 shades of black provide all the nuances and emphasise every detail. Pictures are reproduced at an ultra-high resolution of 2,400 dpi with perfect grey balance and extremely long-lasting colours that is true to the original.

The print is delivered unframed but can be framed if desired, contact us.
