Automobilist, in cooperation with Scuderia Ferrari and Keep Fighting Foundation, has created a series of design posters to capture one of the most historic moments of Formula 1 history, and Michael Schumacher’s favourite and most crucial victory: his title-clinching win at Japanese GP with his Ferrari F1-2000.
This design poster celebrates this extraordinary accomplishment and honors Michael Schumacher’s 50th birthday by featuring his 2000-season helmet. It has been recreated in awe-inspiring detail using 3D-modelling and 3D-scanning of the actual helmet, and took our team of specialist artists, technicians and designers several months to complete.
By owning this bold reminder of a historical F1 moment in the form of a strictly limited poster, you will also be donating to Keep Fighting Foundation, a non-profit organisation founded by Michael Schumacher’s family, life-long friends and colleagues.
BEHIND THE SCENE
How it's done
Every image we create is based on a real-life historical event, so to assure accuracy, we put in long hours of research to piece together every little detail.
Once the concept is established, we set to work creating a 3D model using CGI. Studying every piece of reference material available, our artists essentially build a car from scratch, slowly constructing layer upon layer of detail – even down to the correct number of coats of paint.
We use offset lithography printing technology to consistently achieve high-quality image reproduction. The image data goes straight from our ultra-high-resolution digital files to the printing plates for a clean, precise print.
Paper density is measured in grams per square metre. After extensive testing we have decided this density is the ideal value for our artworks.
Wherever you are in the world, we will deliver to you. We have developed robust packaging to make sure you purchase arrives safely no matter how far it has to travel.
